Dr. Karl Velik graduated from the Ohio State University with a doctorate in audiology in 2023. During his final year of graduate school, Dr. Velik served as an audiology resident at the Chalmers P. Wylie Veterans’ Affairs Ambulatory Care Center in Columbus, OH. His particular clinical interest is in the treatment/rehabilitation of tinnitus and hyperacusis–to this end, he is accredited by the American Academy of Audiology as a Certificate Holder in Tinnitus Management. He joined the team at MOSA in mid-2025.
In his private life, Karl enjoys cooking, fitness and video games as hobbies. He is also an amateur creative writer and amateur musician. He is the proud owner of a sassy tabby cat named Artemis (or, perhaps, Artemis is his owner)!
“I pride myself in always prioritizing patients. Many people, especially those who suffer from tinnitus, feel that their ear issues are ignored when they seek out help. It is my job as your audiologist to hear your perspective and be on your side. I use my clinical experience and knowledge to formulate a customized treatment plan for each individual, rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach. I emphasize being frank, honest and direct with my patients, to ensure they can make fully-informed decisions on their hearing healthcare.”
